For £20 a month you can sponsor a child through Step Up Family Organisation and follow their journey through updates, photographs, videos and letters.

What does my £20 sponsorship provide?

School fees– helping your sponsored child access education

Food– providing meals and helping them learn without hunger getting in the way

School uniform and bag– giving them what they need to attend school

School essentials– helping cover the everyday items needed for their education

Birthday celebration & outfit– making sure their special day is recognised

Christmas outfit– something special for them at Christmas

More than a monthly donation

When you sponsor through SUFO, you’ll know the child you’re supporting.

You’ll receive updates, photographs, videos and letters where available, giving you the opportunity to follow their progress and celebrate their achievements along the way. Sponsors also have the opportunity to visit Uganda as part of our Sponsor’s Safari Tour.

You’ll also be invited to our private sponsors’ Facebook group, where we share updates from Uganda and keep our sponsor community connected.

Behind every sponsorship is a child you’ll get to know and a journey you’ll be able to follow.

Community

When you sponsor a child through SUFO, you become part of a community of people who care about giving children access to education, stability and opportunity.

Our private sponsors’ Facebook group is where we share additional updates from Uganda, photographs, videos and news. It’s also a place where sponsors can ask questions, celebrate their sponsored child’s achievements and stay connected with the SUFO team.

Our trustees are active and accessible, so if you have a question about your sponsorship, there is always someone you can speak to.

We want you to feel connected to the difference you’re helping to make.

Every age matters

Our younger children often find sponsors more quickly, but older children need support just as much.

For teenagers, continuing their education can be particularly important as they prepare for adulthood and their future. Sponsorship helps give them the opportunity to stay in education, develop their skills and work towards greater independence.

So please don’t overlook our older children when considering sponsorship. Their education and their future matter too.

Who needs sponsoring?

We currently have children of different ages waiting for sponsors.

Rather than keeping a list here that can quickly become out of date, we’ll introduce you to the children currently waiting when you get in touch. If you’ve already seen a child on our socials you would particularly like to sponsor, just let us know their name.

Some sponsors also choose to support siblings or children of a similar age, giving them something they can share together.

You don’t need to know which child you’d like to sponsor before contacting us. We’ll be happy to help you.
